Ms. Helen Kezie-Nwoha, a feminist and mother of four from the Federal Republic of Nigeria has recently joined Isis-WICCE as Programmes Manager. Helen, who holds a Bsc. Degree in Zoology, a Master of Business Administration, a Masters in Gender and International Development and a product of the prestigious Chevening scholarship scheme of the British Council, brings to the Isis-WICCE a new dynamism and wealth of experience that will propel the organisation to new heights.
With a 10 years experience in programme development, implementation and management, Helen who was the Country Coordinator of ABANTU for development in Nigeria was involved in developing and managing programmes for the organisation. Helen has undertaken different professional training courses on different aspects of development including gender, result based management, organizational development, corporate governance and impact evaluation. She has contributed to several local and national networks in Nigeria that work on the promotion of women’s rights and gender equality. With a passion about women’s self determination, Helen has for several years served as a trainer of trainers, designed training resources and conducted research on different aspects of development. She is a welcome breed to the Isis-WICCE family where she already joined the rest of the staff in the building of a fair and just society where women can equally participate in decision making and have their capacities and potential utilized for a better world.
