The Know How Conference on the World of Women's Information is a process of sharing knowledge and expertise
between women's information specialists throughout the globe. It merged from the necessity of communicating
experiences in information organization related to women. Its mission is to improve the accessibility and
availability of women's information services throughout the world, at the local and at the global level.
Know How Conference has been created as an international community forincreasing the needed abilities in
order to provide information, learn fromcolleagues and to be an influence in the world of information and it
takesplace after every four years.
The Know How Community includes Librarians, Journalists, Information andCommunication Technologies (ICTs)
experts, researchers, indigenous and ruralwomen's information workers, publishers, information activists
representing excluded communities of women, from all parts of the world. This is the link that shd appear

In July 2002 two important conferences took place in Uganda, for the first time on the African
continent. The 5th conference of specialists in the collection and dissemination of information
relevant to women took place at the same time with the 8th International Interdisciplinary
