For the past 13 years Isis-WICCE has provided data and information on women’s human rights violations in situations of armed conflict. During the said period Isis-WICCE and the institute participants have also recorded a new outcry of the deliberate targeting and attacking of women human rights defenders who for a long time have been at the forefront of defending the rights of the vulnerable women and girls, and denouncing violence against women as well as engaging states and non state actors to stop the abuses. Women human rights defenders have also responded to the needs of survivors of these abuses through advocacy and mobilization of resources.
