After 13 days of training, numerous discussions and long reflections on conflict analysis, human rights, research and the documenting of women’s realities, 34 women leaders from 13 countries left Nepal in November 2009. Women from Asia, Africa and the Middle East returned to their homes, workplaces, cities, and countries to study the situation and experiences of women.[+]
On Monday 16th August 2010, Women’s Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) Nepal in association with Isis-Women’s International Cross-Cultural Exchange (Isis-WICCE) opened a 12 day training institute on human rights, human security and participation, to be held in Park Village, Kathmandu, Nepal. [+]
Isis-Women’s International Cross-Cultural Exchange (Isis-WICCE) and the Women’s Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC-Nepal) will next week host the third phase of the 2009/2010 International Exchange program institute in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The institute which runs under the theme; Human Rights, Human security and Participation will go on for 12 days from Monday 16 to Friday 27 August 2010. This third Phase of institute brings together 30 women leaders from 14 countries of Burundi, D.R.Congo, India, Israel, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Kenya and Uganda.[+]
At the 15th African Union Summit held in Kampala from 19-27 July, Isis WICCE joined several civil society organizations in Africa to put up activities to inform the Heads of State to bring the issues of women to the discussion table. In collaboration with Femmes Africa Solidarite (FAS) through a program called Gender is my Agenda (GIMAC), Isis-WICCE held a pre-summit consultative meeting on strengthening gender in the African Union.
