Grand Cess Town, Grand Kru County, Liberia 10th July 2009.  Over 200 surgical operations on different reproductive and physical health complications have been carried out on both women and men at J J Dossen and Rally Time Hospitals in Maryland and Grand Kru Counties by a team of Ugandan and Liberian doctors during a two weeks surgical camp, part of the short term medical intervention that Isis-WICCE and her partners undertook in Maryland and Grand Kru Counties in Liberia. The short term medical intervention which was funded under the Millennium Development Goal 3 (MDG3) Investing in Equality funding was carried out in collaboration with Women in Peace Building Network (WIPNET), the Liberian Ministry of Gender and Development and Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.  The patients from Maryland County and Grand Kru in Liberia who have received treatment and surgical attention in the ongoing medical intervention have commended Isis-Women International Cross Cultural Exchange (Isis-WICCE), an international non governmental organisation based in Uganda for providing free treatment and surgeries to the war affected population in the two counties.
